Pasto, November 7: The Subnational Program of GGGI Colombia with the support of the Norwegian Embassy and the Government of Nariño, carried out the third of four capacity building workshops on Green Growth addressed to the public and private stakeholders in the region.
This workshop gathered more than 75 participants and aimed to share knowledge on four main topics:
- The importance of green growth for the region in terms of productivity and competitiveness
- Financial project structuring and screening skills
- Financial offer for green growth: the perspective of commercial, development and micro finance specialized banks
- National economic instruments for Green Growth.
The workshop emphasized the importance of seeking economic, social and environmental revenues in green growth projects, and how financial institutions have moved towards green finance to mobilize resources towards green growth.
