His duties include selection of alternative heating solutions to substitute raw coal, assessment of potential market for the selected solutions such as electric heating, gas heating, improved solid fuel, thermal insulation of housing etc., and estimate associated GHG reductions. In addition, he is involved in product development for industrial energy efficiency. Prior to joining GGGI, Mr. Zoljargal was director for R&D of MAK, a major mining company in Mongolia, with focus on energy and mineral processing. He worked as project manager of smokeless solid fuel plant, coal fired power plant, gasification and conducted number of energy and chemicals studies.
Mr. Zoljargal graduated from Department of International development engineering of Tokyo Institute of Technology, and faculty of Petroleum engineering of Saint-Petersburg Mining Institute.
