Shantanu P. Gotmare is an India Country Representative based in New Delhi, India. Shantanu is responsible for implementation and development of GGGI’s program in India. He is a member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the premier civil service in India.
Before joining GGGI, he worked in senior positions in the Union and State government. He has previously held leadership positions as Deputy Commissioner of a district with a population of about 1 million, as Additional Secretary of the planning department and as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Power, Coal, Renewable Energy and Mines. In a fifteen-year career in the IAS and IA&AS, he has been intimately associated with development policy design and program implementation spectrum— conventional and non-conventional energy, rural and semi-urban development and SDGs. Shantanu is also a Masters in Public Policy from Princeton University with Certificate in Science, Technology and Environment Policy.
