Pheakdey Heng is a Policy Lead with GGGI’s Cambodia where he is responsible for leading the implementation of GGGI’s Cambodia Program in two areas: green city development and mainstreaming of green growth into the national development plan. He first joined GGGI in 2015 as a Senior Policy Analyst and led stakeholder’s engagement for Cambodia’s Green Urban Development Program and provided strategic policy analysis as inputs for the development of the Green City Strategic Plan for Phnom Penh.
Prior to joining GGGI, he managed and implemented projects for UNDP, World Bank, GERES, NGO Forum, Asia Competitiveness Institute and Enrich Institute. Pheakdey’s expertise lies in the areas of energy policy, climate change adaptation and green city development. He holds a Master Degree from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore, and a Ph.D from the VU University Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
