Pablo Martínez

Pablo Martínez is the Country Representative for the Colombia program where he coordinates with government counterparts and partner organizations to define, develop and implement the country program. He participates actively in implementing and is responsible for coordinating and supervising its execution. Pablo enjoys blending his technical background and consulting skills to develop evidence-based policy adequate for the context where it is applied.

Pablo has more than 10 years of professional and academic experience in the areas of sustainability, clean transport, air quality and climate change, where he has been involved in technology development, policy drafting and development of financial instruments. Before becoming the Country Representative, Pablo was Programme Manager for the Mexico program from 2013 to 2017, and prior to joining GGGI, he was a Senior Associate in McKisney & Company and a Project Engineer in Prolec-General Electric.

Pablo has a mechanical engineering degrees from Imperial College, UK (PhD), Cornell University, US (Master) and from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico (B.S.). His PhD focused on powertrain modelling for the integration of flywheels in hybrid vehicles.
