Mohammed Angawi works in the Green Growth Planning and Implementation Division as the UAE Country Officer based in Abu Dhabi. He has over 11 years’ experience in engineering, sustainability and project management roles in the GCC, the US and Australia.
He joined GGGI in October 2015 to support the UAE team in the implementation of the National Green Growth Strategy. His prior experience includes working on UN-funded coastal and terrestrial remediation projects in the Gulf, project evaluation at the Islamic Development Bank’s MENA Division, and an international urban indicators project with Victorian Government in Australia. Most recently, he managed a regional urban sustainability and recycling project in the private sector based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Mohammed holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University and a Master’s degree in urban and environmental management from RMIT University in Melbourne.
