In November 2017, María Albarracín joined GGGI, the Global Institute for Green Growth, as Lead Investment and Project Finance, with the aim of promoting the development of sustainable investment projects in Colombia.
She has more than 16 years of experience in investment banking and private equity funds. Ms. Albarracín has closed transactions for more than USD 3.5 Billion among diverse sector such as Energy & Gas, Financial Institutions, Agroindustry, Ports, BPO services and Retail. During her time at the National Development Bank for Infrastructure FDN, Ms. Albarracín originated deals for about USD 0.5 Billion, and while at Bancóldex, the National Development Bank for Industry and Commerce, she led Bancóldex Capital, the national program aimed to invest in PE funds and promote the Private Equity Industry local, and internationally.
Ms. Albarracín is a Civil Engineer from Antioquia’s School of Engineering and holds an MBA from Los Andes University.
