Julie Godin

Julie Godin is a Lead Green Growth and Climate Funds at GGGI. She is leading the project office in Budapest, Hungary. In that role she provides policy, technical and operational advice on the design and the implementation of green growth and climate change funds. Julie oversees the development of financial instruments to support the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions and climate change adaptation projects.

An engineer and an MPA, Julie brings experience from the UN and the World Bank. Prior to GGGI, Julie worked for more than 15 years on climate finance and sustainability. Julie led work on international climate policy and the 2030 development agenda. She managed projects at national and regional level and developed international initiatives in multi-stakeholders environments. On multiple occasions, Julie built partnerships to deliver impact at scale.

Ms. Godin grew-up and worked in Canada until 2007. As an engineer, she managed several environmental and climate-related projects in the private sector before moving to Washington DC. Julie holds a Master degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Master degree in Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
