Jose Manuel Sandoval is a Senior Officer with GGGI’s Colombia country tream. Jose Manuel is supporting the National Planning Department in the preparation of Colombia’s Long-Term Green Growth Policy, one of two major work streams of GGGI in the country. His role includes ensuring technical coordination of all the studies and sectorial discussions to be held throughout the Green Growth Task Force, a process through which the NPD will generate the inputs for this long-term green growth policy.
He has a track record of more than 12 years in issues related to sustainable development, climate change, green economy and integrated water resources management, in both public and private sectors. Before joining GGGI he was coordinator of the “Colombian Low Carbon Development Strategy a the Ministry of Environment of Colombia”, leading the work to prepare the country’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) for the Paris Agreement. He advanced studies in Government and International Relations at Universidad Externado in Colombia and at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris and holds a MSc in Environmental Management.
