Frode Neergaard is GGGI’s London-based European Representative. As member of GGGI’s Partnerships Team, Frode advises on opportunities to engage European resource partners in global and country programs, analyzing their priorities and alignment with GGGI’s mission. He leads and implements strategies and campaigns to support corporate resource mobilization efforts, and works with country teams in developing proposals for funding by European partners. Frode is also part of GGGI’s team providing service offerings on climate diplomacy to GGGI’s member countries.
Frode has 30 years’ experience in foreign policy, development cooperation, environmental and climate diplomacy. He has held management and advisory positions in the Danish Foreign Service/Danida, – worked on the World Bank Executive Board, – been vice-chair of OECD’s Development Assistance Committee, – been a senior climate negotiator, – and has 6 years’ experience from posts in Uganda, Ethiopia, and Sierra Leone. Frode holds Master Degrees in Geography and Social Sciences, and has a Special Diploma in International Development Studies from the University of Roskilde.
