Daniel Muñoz-Smith

Daniel Muñoz-Smith is the Country Representative for GGGI in Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga and Vanuatu. In this role, Daniel is responsible for managing and supporting respective country teams to deliver programs of work designed to achieve national development goals and climate actions. Daniel is also responsible for engaging with Member country governments and cultivating new business opportunities and partnerships that support the sustainability and scale-up of in-country programs.

Prior to this role, Daniel Muñoz-Smith spent 5 years within GGGI’s Office of the Director-General, supporting GGGI to fulfill its strategic vision by developing and maintaining relationships with partners, communicating impact to mobilize resources, and raising the profile of the organization as one of the world’s top-tier green growth solutions providers.

Before joining the organization, Daniel worked with the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning to deliver the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in 2014. Daniel also spent close to 3 years working with the United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development.

Daniel holds an MA in International Development and an MBA in Information and Media.
