Anna has over 10 years of experience in Asia. Prior to her work in Indonesia she was based in Beijing. She worked for a variety of NGOs including Wetlands International, The Nature Conservancy and WWF on technical elements and policy measures related to sustainable finance, water resource protection, natural resource management, biodiversity protection, community development/livelihood securities, as well as broader bi/multilateral, corporate fundraising and partnership development.
Anna is the principal author of the Heart of Borneo: Investing in nature for a green economy publication, launched at the Rio+20 Earth Summit in June 2012, the output of a two year spatial-economic modeling assessment on Borneo. She completed her Master of Science in Geo-information Science and spatial environmental modeling at Wageningen University in the Netherlands and her Honours degree in Environmental Science at the University of Western Australia, in Perth, Australia. Anna is currently based in Jakarta, is fluent in Dutch, Indonesian and English, conversational in Malay, Mandarin, French, German and Spanish.
