Abdelmajid Bennis Nechba is the GGGI Morocco Program Officer. He is responsible for the country program management, strategic planning and operations delivery. Prior to this, he worked as the GGGI Morocco Green Growth Expert, where he was involved in engaging with government and private stakeholders to identify and structure green growth investment opportunities in Morocco. During this time, he supported the Moroccan official delegation in conducting Morocco’s actions and initiatives during the organization of COP 21 in Paris and assisted the former High-Level Climate Champion (former Morocco Minister of Environment) in organizing the Climate Action Agenda during COP22 in Marrakech as a coordinator for the Agriculture, Water and Forest Action Days.
He has over 16 years of professional experience in the area of green territories development, notably in the agricultural sector. He has a diverse profile, with experience in the private sector as a project manager, in a private legal cabinet as an auditor, and just prior to joining GGGI, in the public sector as a technical advisor to the Moroccan Minister of Environment in management and sustainable development.
Abdelmajid holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a second Bachelor’s degree in Finance, and a Master’s degree in Audit and Management Accounting from the Paris School of Business (PSB).
