On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, in Madrid, the Government of Morocco will hold the Access to Financial and Technical Support for NDC Implementation: Challenges and Innovative & Sustainable Solutions event on the sidelines of COP 25. The event aims to discuss the challenges and solutions related to technical and financial support of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), especially in developing countries, based on the case of Morocco.

Participants will provide their insights on the main challenges facing developing countries in achieving their commitments and raising their ambitions and discuss the need for an integrated approach for the implementation of NDCs with increased inputs from all actors. Good practices and innovative solutions for financing NDC implementation will also be a feature of the event. Ms. Fenella Aouane, GGGI’s Principal Green Finance Specialist, will deliver a presentation on National Financing Vehicles (NFV) during the final session of the event, Towards Innovative and Sustainable Solutions. The event will take place at 15:00 in the NDC-Partnership Pavilion of the COP 25 Village.
