  • Fax: +82 2 2096 9990
  • Reception: 9:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday (except Korean public holidays).

Directions

The office is in central Seoul in the Jung-gu neighborhood.  It’s a convenient 10-minute walk from the nearest station of Seoul’s splendid subway. The office is 50 meters from the Canadian Embassy, which may be a familiar landmark to some.

  • By subway

Good general info on Seoul’s subway system.

Take Line 5 to Seodaemun Station, Exit 5. At the top of the escalator, see an elevated road. Keeping the elevated road on your left, walk straight on the main road, up a gentle hill about 300 meters. At the Dunkin Donuts, turn right onto x Street. Walk about 200 meters, crossing the street when it’s safe. Take the first left (the Canadian Embassy is on the corner),  and walk up a short hill for 50 meters. On your left, see a 20-story building with a tree in the center of a parking loop. Enter through the revolving door. Walk to your right and look for the elevator that says “1-20″. Take it to the 19th floor and buzz the door.

  • By taxi

Taxis are plentiful and affordable in Seoul. Ask the driver to take you to the following address (the driver will not know GGGI or the address, but can enter it into his GPS).

    English: 19F Jeongdong Bldg., 15-5 Jeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul 100-784.

  • By car

Public transportation is recommended, but if you will drive these are directions. Drive to the above address.

Parking — There is a parking garage in the basement of the building open 24 hours that is almost never full.  The first 30 minutes are free. Then it becomes very expensive very quickly. A full workday costs approximately KRW 45,000 (about $40).

From Incheon International Airport (options)

  • By taxi

Takes about 1 hour and costs about KRW (US$). Give the driver the address above.

  • By airport limousine bus

Cost is approximately KRW 10,000 one-way. Buy tickets at the airport or on the bus, price is the same. Hours are approximately 6am-10pm. Take Airport Limousine Bus number 6005. Get off at the bus stop “Vabien Suites-Seodaemun Station” (the stop before Gwangwhamun Station). The bus stop is about 50 meters from Seodaemun Subway Station. Keep the elevated road on your left and follow the walking instructions above from Seodaemun Subway Station. If you have heavy bags, hail a taxi going your way, and direct the driver using the walking instructions above.

  • By airport train (regular) to subway

Take the regular train (not the KTX, which goes elsewhere in central Seoul) to Gimpo Airport (the other airport). Transfer to Line 5, heading downtown. Then follow the subway directions above. (The walk from the subway is easy, but not with heavy bags.)

  • By KTX train to taxi

This is the express train, which is faster and more expensive than the regular train. Take it from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station. Then take a taxi from Seoul Station to the office.
